Welcome to the discussion list of the Federal Libraries Section of the Medical Library Association. Originally established as the Military Medical Libraries section, the Federal Libraries Section (FLS) of the MLA seeks to improve library services through increased communication and cooperation among medical libraries of the US government.

The FLS mailing list has been set up to accomplish the objectives above by providing a forum for discussion of the whole range of issues that affect Federal medical libraries, including but not restricted to:
-- Posing questions or requesting advice about situations and policies affecting Federal institutions;
-- Sharing of staff expertise, resources, new technologies, innovations, and accomplishments with other Federal librarians;
-- Disseminating information about section business and happenings.
